Flexible scalability

The SMA Storage M offers a flexibly scalable storage capacity ranging from 12.3 kWh to 49.1 kWh (depending on the inverter), making it suitable for a variety of requirements in residential and small commercial applications. It can also be expanded within two years.

Designed for dynamic tariffs

Thanks to its sustainable LFP technology, the SMA Storage M is designed for frequent daily charging and discharging cycles; furthermore, its high charging and discharging power ensures that the available energy can be utilised to the full.

With an energy throughput of up to 7.2 MWh/kWh and tariff-optimised usage, the battery is suitable for dynamic tariffs, energy trading and VPP scenarios. Furthermore, the cyber security architecture developed and operated by SMA ensures a high standard of security.

Easy installation

Thanks to their compact, space-saving design and a weight of 36 kg, the SMA Storage M battery modules can be easily stacked and installed even in confined spaces. With an IP66 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -20 °C to +55 °C, they can also be installed both indoors and outdoors.

The quick and straightforward plug-and-play installation, which requires no complex cabling, also enables automatic commissioning, whilst the LED display provides information on the current state of charge.
