Scalable and flexible C&I all-in-one energy storage system

The GoodWe ESA series is an all-in-one energy storage system (ESS) comprising a battery inverter, EMS and battery modules for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Its modular design enables flexible expansion, easy transport, rapid installation and simplified operation and maintenance (O&M) processes.

In addition, up to 15 units can be operated in parallel. The optimised space efficiency of the space-saving cabinet enables a high energy density of 177.6 kWh/sq m, thus delivering strong performance for medium to large-scale commercial applications.

Smart storage solution

Thanks to the integrated, intelligent energy management system (EMS), the storage system supports parallel operation with grid-connected inverters for flexible C&I applications. For grid-connected applications using the GoodWe GT series, the Smart Energy Controller SEC3000c is required for parallel connection.

Furthermore, the EMS enables peak load shedding, load management and the seamless integration of third-party virtual power plants (VPPs). When used in conjunction with the GoodWe STS Box, the GoodWe ESA series can also be operated in off-grid mode with grid-forming capability and a Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) function.

Highest safety standards and reliability

The GoodWe ESA energy storage system features advanced six-fold active and passive fire protection technology, thus offering comprehensive protection during every phase of operation. The hybrid cooling system combines air cooling at the power converter (PCS) level with intelligent liquid cooling for the battery modules. Thanks to automatic dehumidification, optimal internal conditions are ensured, thereby guaranteeing long-term reliability and performance.

Furthermore, the energy storage system is equipped with an aerosol fire suppression system at battery and pack level, providing an additional layer of protection.
