SAJ HS3 series – Intelligent 5-in-1 energy storage system for maximum energy independence

The SAJ HS3 series is a modern, modular energy storage system for detached houses and smaller commercial applications. The innovative 5-in-1 concept combines a hybrid inverter, battery PCS, LiFePO₄ battery storage, emergency power supply and an intelligent energy management system in a space-saving solution. With inverter outputs ranging from 5 to 12 kW and a modularly expandable storage capacity of 5 to 40 kWh, the system adapts flexibly to individual energy requirements.

The HS3 series utilises long-life LiFePO₄ batteries with over 6,000 charge cycles and a modular design. Thanks to integrated DC-DC optimisers, existing battery systems can be easily expanded with new modules without different states of ageing compromising overall performance. Blind-plug technology enables rapid installation without the need for complex external cabling.

The integrated backup function with an automatic transfer switch (ATS) ensures maximum supply reliability. In the event of a mains power failure, the system takes over the power supply to the entire house within 10 ms, enabling important appliances to continue operating with virtually no interruption.

The integrated elekeeper EMS optimises self-consumption using artificial intelligence. By taking into account dynamic electricity tariffs, weather forecasts and individual consumption patterns, electricity costs can be reduced by up to 20 per cent. Convenient monitoring and control are carried out via the elekeeper app or the web portal. Features such as one-click diagnostics and automatic software updates further simplify operation and maintenance.

The HS3 series also sets new standards in terms of safety. The integrated thermal aerosol fire suppression system activates within 3 seconds at 185 °C, whilst the intelligent battery management system (BMS) continuously monitors voltage, current and temperature. An integrated self-heating function enables operation even at temperatures as low as -30 °C, making the system suitable for challenging climatic conditions.

With a depth of just 170 mm, an IP65 protection rating, natural convection cooling and flexible floor or wall mounting, the SAJ HS3 series is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The official manufacturer’s warranty is 10 years, which can be extended to 15 years (10 + 5 years) for participants in the HS3 campaign.
